The Selous Game Reserve is one of the largest faunal reserves of the world, located in the south of Tanzania. It was named after Englishman Sir Frederick Courtenay Selous, a famous big game hunter. The reserve covers a total area of 54,600 km2 and has additional buffer zones. Within the reserve no permanent human habitation or permanent structures are permitted. All (human) entry and exit is carefully controlled by the Wildlife Division of the Tanzanian Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism. The hunting areas we offer is approximetly 2900 km2 of prestine anfrican bush. The hunting concession is traversed by one big river and by many smaller tributaries. The river and the tributaries are the life blood of the concession and during the dry months attract game of all size and specie. The prime specie that attract hunters to our concession are the BIG 4, Elephant,Lion,Leopard and Buffalo, plains game are as abundant as they were during Sir Frederick Courtnay Selous days. The Selous is famous for its Eland or Blue Bulls as we African hunters have nicknamed them.
